If you’ve been keeping an eye on our socials lately, you might already know that Spitting Pig Yorkshire was invited to attend an open day event at one of our gorgeous partner venues: the Chevin Country Park Hotel in Otley. We’ve worked with this venue on many, many occasions over the years. But the novelty of visiting this spectacular location? It never wears off!
So, when the open day event finally arrived last weekend, our team was buzzing with excitement as they took the familiar route to Chevin’s secluded spot in the countryside.
Spitting Pig Yorkshire was one of many talented vendors exhibiting at this event, ranging from florists and photographers to cake makers and stylists. With several of the area’s top wedding specialists all under one roof, the turnout was incredible with hundreds of brides, grooms and their families coming along in the hopes of getting inspired or finding their dream wedding team.
Our team from Spitting Pig Yorkshire lured the guests over to our gazebo with the tantalising aroma of our trademark hog roast! One whiff of smokey-sweet pork and the guests were drawn to our stand like bees to flowers. Jon, our catering manager, was all smiles as he treated everyone to a sample sandwich filled with moist and succulent pulled pork, crispy pork rinds, sage and onion stuffing and a dollop of homemade applesauce to balance out the rich and savoury flavours of the meat. We also had a few other sauces for those with more experimental palates!
We received so many compliments throughout the day, with many guests asking about our secret to creating the ultimate hog roasts. Plenty hung around longer to ask wedding-related questions and were thrilled to hear that our services stretch far beyond perfectly-cooked pigs!
All in all, Spitting Pig Yorkshire had an absolute blast showcasing at this event and to all those who swung by our stall on Saturday, it was wonderful to see you.
