The war in Ukraine has undoubtedly touched the hearts of millions of people across the globe, and, as is often the case in times of crisis, we’ve seen the best that humanity has to offer as a result. Every day, more and more people are stepping up to help support those suffering most from the conflict in any way they can, and right here in Leeds, Sytner Audi decided to host their very own charity fundraising event to encourage people to donate vital funds to the crisis appeal.
In charge of planning and organising the event was Bev, who, after inviting 50 people to attend the function, had reached out to Hog Roast Garforth to sort out the catering. She found our catering manager, Colin, was a great help when it came to recommending menu plans suited to the style, size and budget of the event she envisioned, and after talking over the details more thoroughly, it was agreed that our Southern Slow Roast Menu was the best fit.
Featuring a collection of authentic Deep Southern cuisine, the Southern Slow Roast Menu is like a hug for the soul. The food is flavourful, rich, extremely tasty and oh-so comforting! Plus, with the sheer variety of options included, it makes a wonderful addition to any event since guests are guaranteed to find something suited to their taste!
When the day of Sytner Audi’s fundraiser came around, near the end of May, Hog Roast Garforth arrived at the venue with plenty of time to spare before the guests made an appearance. With the food set to be rolled out at 7 pm that evening, our crew had all afternoon to prepare the mouth-watering buffet of BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, which were served with sumptuous side options that included mac and cheese, mixed fries, Greek salad and Memphis style crunchy coleslaw.
The food offered by Hog Roast Garforth knocked the socks off of the guests, who were simply amazed by the quality and freshness of the food our team had presented them with! The generous flow of tasty grub seemed to put everyone in a very generous mood, and by the end of the night, Sytner Audi had raised an impressive amount for their chosen charity!
