To mark the beginning of the year, a local community centre in Yorkshire hired Hog Roast Cragg Vale to cater for their New Year meal. The centre is run by Julie, who aims to host a meal for local people to enjoy several times a year. By providing a meal in January, she wanted to ensure that everyone had somewhere warm and cosy to enjoy a delicious buffet. For the catering, our manager Jon was hired to provide a classic hog roast, alongside a meat-free option and something for younger guests to enjoy. It was important that our menu could be enjoyed by everyone, and our catering is a great way to do so!
On the day of the event, Jon and the Hog Roast Cragg Vale team arrived at the community centre in the afternoon, with plenty of time to prepare for the 6:00pm mealtime. We began with the main dishes, which included a delicious slow-roasted hog, veggie sausages, and succulent pork sausages. The main dishes were all served in fresh bread rolls, with the hog also accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. As well as the mains, we also served a variety of salad dishes and tasty homemade chips, to create a balanced and delicious evening meal. Our catering went down a treat and it was great to see so many guests enjoying what we had to offer!
