Hog Roast Pool in Wharfedale were delighted to work alongside their latest clients to plan a formal sit down meal as a surprise for a very special couple. The clients were planning a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party for their parents, and they wanted the very best and Hog Roast Pool in Wharfedale certainly delivered.
The venue for this surprise party was a hotel, so the booking team at Hog Roast Pool in Wharfedale worked closely with the clients and the hotel staff. The clients wanted a fun but formal menu for the intimate party of 10 guests including the happy couple.
The catering package the clients selected was easily adapted to become a bespoke package that met their budget and their dreams for the event. The clients selected a package with canapés to be served as the guests arrived, starters served to the tables, a main course buffet and finally puddings served to the tables followed by tea, coffee and mints.
The clients wanted a varied, tasty and fun selection of food for their guests to enjoy. As such the clients selected a choice of canapés including: mini burgers, halloumi kebabs, feta skewers, smoked salmon on brown bread and tiger prawns.
For starters a dish of hot soup and a crusty bread roll was served to the table. The guests had a choice of main course, at the buffet table they could choose between free range spot roasted chicken with homemade stuffing and onion gravy or a fresh whole roasted salmon. Accompanying this was a choice of three salads, seasonal vegetables, jacket potatoes and jacket wedges. There was a whole host of delicious dishes to pick from!
Following the main course was pudding, of which the guests had a choice between chocolate torte and individual vanilla cheesecakes with an optional serving of fresh cream. These dishes were to be served by Hog Roast Pool in Wharfedale’s experiences wait staff.
On the day of the event the team from Hog Roast Pool in Wharfedale arrived at the hotel six hours before the 8:30pm serving time, so that they had enough time to prepare all the dishes fresh on site in the hours leading up to the event. They also set up the table for the guests, as the team provided high quality china crockery and reusable cutlery for the guests to use.
The event was a wonderful surprise for the happy couple, they were so delighted with the work put in by the team. It was a job well done.
