Last Saturday, Hog Roast Heckmondwike had the pleasure of catering a charming countryside wedding in Yorkshire. The bride, Emily, and her groom, Tom, wanted a relaxed, welcoming vibe, with plenty of hearty food for their guests to enjoy as they kicked back and soaked in the celebration. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect—a large open barn, decked out with fairy lights and wildflowers, giving everything a lovely bohemian touch.
After the ceremony, guests arrived around 2pm and were greeted by the aroma of the hog roast slow cooking on our quality machine. They were of course, taken aback by the whole pig slowly rotating and in full view; perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices. Plus, the crackling sound gave that extra rustic vibe that certainly added to the atmosphere. Once the roast was ready, the team from Hog Roast Heckmondwike set up a buffet station, complete with fresh-baked rolls, roasted veggies, mac & cheese and a selection of sauces. But, we were specifically asked to cater for all kinds of dietary preferences, therefore, we offered a selection of vegetarian options, including a savoury butternut squash and spinach wellington that proved just as popular as our classic hog.
The next day, Emily and Tom reached out to share their feedback to the Hog Roast Heckmondwike team. They were incredibly grateful for the team’s professionalism and flexibility in crafting custom dishes that catered to all their guests. It was so rewarding to hear their kind words.
