Hog Roast Skipton Made Waves At A Food And Drink Festival!

Last weekend, the Hog Roast Skipton team embarked on an exciting  journey as we hit the road to showcase our creations at an all-day food and drink festival nearby.

With our trusty catering van packed to the brim, we were ready to wow the crowds and let the community experience firsthand what Hog Roast Skipton is all about: exceptional food and outstanding customer service!

Arriving early at the venue, our team secured a prime spot for our stall and wasted no time in getting down to business. Led by catering manager, Jon, the crew set to work prepping our widely-acclaimed hog roast.

The process saw our team prepare a full-size free-range pig, which was expertly scored and rubbed with salt before being hoisted onto the grill, where it was immersed in our homemade sage and onion stuffing. Letting the HogMaster work its magic, the pork was left to cook low and slow for hours, which allowed the flavours to meld into perfection. As the meat simmered, the stuffing absorbed the flavourful juices, enhancing the taste with every passing minute.

Hog Roast SkiptonTo accompany the succulent pork, we whipped up our signature homemade applesauce—a perfect blend of sweet and tart that perfectly complemented the richness of the meat, balancing its natural oiliness.

As the festival grounds buzzed with activity, our stall became a focal point, drawing in crowds with the tempting aroma of our slow-roasted hog. While other vendors enticed taste buds with everything from fresh-made pizzas and falafels to kebabs, Hog Roast Skipton quickly emerged as the crowd favourite.

Guests eagerly lined up at our stall, their mouths watering in anticipation of sinking their teeth into our flavourful recipe. Jon expertly served up the hog roast on gluten-free or wholemeal rolls, complete with stuffing, homemade applesauce, and the pièce de résistance: perfectly crisp crackling that elicited exclamations of delight from all who tasted it.

As attendees indulged in our delightful grub, they soaked up the vibrant atmosphere of the festival—live music filled the air, drinks flowed freely, and fairground rides provided entertainment for the whole family. It was a day to remember, filled with laughter, good company, and, of course, exceptional food.
