Sometimes it is not the clients who contact the caterers, sometimes it is an independent party/event planner. Hog Roast Otley was very excited when Vicky, an event planner at Chevin Country Park, contacted the team in order to book them on behalf of her clients. In scenarios such as this, the hog roast Otley team work directly with the event planner rather than the clients. Liaising with another professional in this way means that no single detail is overlooked or left to chance in the planning and preparation of the event.
The party was held at Chevin Country Park and had a guest list of 50 people. As such, the team knew they needed to put together a simply delicious menu to meet the criteria Vicky had presented them with.
Catering manager Jon had to make sure that alongside the Classic Hog Roast dishes, there were suitable alternatives for guests who had other dietary requirements. Jon, from Hog Roast Otley team, made sure that a vegetarian option of grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers was available. He also proposed a vegan alternative of simple grilled vegetable skewers and gluten-free rolls. The planning team at Hog Roast Otley took every consideration into the planning of the menu, they worked hard with Vicky to create a bespoke package to suit the clients.
The party had a serving time of 9pm, in order to be ready in time Jon and his catering team from Hog Roast Otley arrived at Chevin Country Park around 3pm. All the food was to be prepared freshly on-site at the venue. The delicious hog was scored and set to sizzle as soon as the team arrived, so that by 9 pm the meat had been slow roasted to absolute perfection.
The platters of food made by the team were very much enjoyed by the guests at the party, both Vicky and her clients were delighted. As the event ended the team quietly cleared away and took the waste away with them to dispose of it. It had been a thoroughly enjoyable event.
